QUITO: CITY TOUR
Visit the broad avenues of the northern residential section. Continue to Independence Plaza, the Government Palace, La Catedral, El Sagrario, La Companía and San Francisco Churches. Then continue to El Panecillo, the hill that hosts a giant statue of the winged Virgin, where you will have a splendid view of all of old and new town.

QUITO: CITY LINE
The same as 2 plus Equatorial Monument. A few miles north of Quito is the Equatorial Monument at latitude 0 00’ 00’’ which marks the place where an 18th century expedition established the exact geodesic position of the equator. This is a unique opportunity to be in two hemispheres at the same time. Visit the monument and its ethnography museum or the Intinan Museum. Transfer to the Teleferico station in order to enjoy this new attraction.

OTAVALO INDIAN MARKET (8 HOURS)
In the morning depart to the north via the Pan American Highway, to cross the equatorial line at Cayambe with a stop at Calderon’s ‘bread doll’ village. Then continue to Otavalo to visit South America’s famous Indian market. The Otavalo Indians are the most ambitious and prosperous craftsmen/merchants in Ecuador. Ponchos, wooden goods, and Indian jewelry are sold here. Then visit the small Indian town of Peguche, known for its weavers and Cotacachi, known for its genuine leather work. Return to Quito.

COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK
In the morning drive south through the Avenue of the Volcanoes to the base of the Cotopaxi volcano, the highest active volcano in the world at 5,897m. Cotopaxi was established as an ecological sanctuary with unusual opportunities for nature lovers. If weather conditions permit we will trek till the Jose Rivas Refuge. Optional Lunch at Hacienda La Cienega and return to Quito.

PAPALLACTA THERMALS FOREST (8 HOURS)
In the morning drive along the Interoceanic Highway, the road to the Oriente. You will enjoy the amazing landscape. These thermal baths are the most attractively developed set of hot springs in Ecuador. The hot water is channeled into several swimming pools. Optional lunch. Return to Quito.

MINDO CLOUD FOREST (8 HOURS)
Early departure from Quito towards the northwest, passing the western Andes mountain range and driving along the Nono road into the cloud forest. Afterwards onward to the tropical rain forest area of Mindo. Along the way we will stop to enjoy the landscape and wildlife. This area is especially interesting for its bird life and exotic plant species. Return to Quito in the afternoon.

QUILOTOA LAKE TOUR(9 HOURS)
We depart early in the morning through the Avenue of the Volcanoes to visit the Quilotoa lake which is one of the most beautiful and breathtaking, a tranquil, mesmerizing glass-green lake lying in the crater of an extinct volcano. The volcanic crater is still perfectly formed, allowing visitors to see its past history and formidable power. We will walk down from the top of the crater to the lake's edge. Once at the bottom of the lake, there isn't much to do other than relax and enjoy the tranquility. The return walk back to the top of the crater you can ascending to the top by mule. Optional Lunch and return to Quito.

JACCHIGUA
The permanent choreographic mounting of the National Folkloric Ballet Jacchigua, is a show with 86 dancers, musicians and ecuadorian technicians that put into scene a spectacular show of traditions and customs of Ecuador. 2.800 kilos of costumes and technique elements are utilized by the dancers in choreographies designed by the director.
